We gave Pezz a comprehensive redesign of their product. The aim was to make it environmentally friendly and easy to use. Together with Pezz, we quickly made some fundamental design decisions and conducted extensive testing with a wide variety of dogs and their owners until the product was ready for market launch.
Since then, we have been providing Pezz with ongoing support in the areas of purchasing and further development. Pezz is bursting with ideas and gives us the opportunity to support them throughout the engineering process.

Product concept
The home urine test examines urine to identify health risks at an early stage and take the necessary steps in good time. Thanks to its uncomplicated and quick application, nothing stands in the way of regular health care. That is the focus of the urine test for dogs. Together with the Pezz team, we went through several prototyping loops to find a solution that makes collecting and analyzing urine as easy and clean as possible for the customer. The environmental aspect was very important to Pezz, so we reduced the amount of plastic wherever possible without compromising functionality and used eco-plastic for the test cup itself!
Product design
Here, it was important to Pezz to convey the aspects of cleanliness and environmental friendliness, as can be seen in the translucent plastic and cardboard!
Prototype construction
Thanks to the product’s simple design, it didn’t take long to start testing it with customers and their dogs. After a few 3D prints and cut sheets in different materials, we soon arrived at a practical design thanks to feedback from users.
Product development
The main task was to design the injection-molded shell correctly so that the flow system would function safely, cleanly, and smoothly, but also so that the test kits could be shipped very cheaply, i.e., with a total packaging thickness of less than 3 cm. Combining these requirements took a lot of know-how and coordination with the manufacturer, but it worked perfectly!
3D design
The main challenges here were the tolerances of the individual parts and the detailed design of the injection-molded cup, which could only be overcome through collaboration with the manufacturers and suppliers.
Production management
Together with Pezz, we have found trustworthy producers in nearby European countries, enabling us to meet high quality standards and cleanliness requirements while still achieving fair prices.
